The first day of the Bandy World Championship 2025 has ended and it was a great success. It attracted many spectators and the opening matches delivered entertaining play and close competition, providing an exciting start for the tournament.
In the first match of the day, the USA took on Hungary. The teams played an even and competitive game, with the USA eventually winning by a final score of 4-2. Later on, host nation Sweden faced Norway in a match with plenty of action and scoring opportunities. Sweden finished as winners with a 9-3 result.
Apart from the games, visitors also had the opportunity to explore exhibitors present at the venue. Merchandise, bandy equipment, and various products were available for fans and players.
The opening day received attention from several major Swedish media outlets, including national broadcaster SVT, Sveriges Radio, and national newspapers, underlining the growing interest in the championship.
Today, the women’s teams enter the tournament, with several matches scheduled.
